The Handmaid's Tale, Author: Margaret Atwood.
If you haven't read The Handmaid's Tale (or seen the phenomenal Hulu series) yet, now is the time. This book was my first introduction to dystopic fiction as a teenager, and it was really eye-opening. Read this for interesting story
but also for the perspective of women's rights, oppression and government abuse of power. It is fictional, but Atwood has based every act of harassment based on real events that happened somewhere in the world.
